Cool Roof Rating Council
The Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) is an independent, non-profit organization that develops radiative energy performance rating systems for roofing products.
ENERGY STAR® Roof Products
Energy Star is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy specifying energy efficiency criteria for cool roofs and other products.
Global Cool Cities Alliance Cool Roofs and Cool Pavements Toolkit
The non-profit organization was launched in 2010 to accelerate a world-wide transition to cooler, healthier cities. Its mission is to advance urban heat island mitigation policies and programs to promote more efficient and comfortable buildings, healthier and more resilient cities, and to cancel some of the warming effects of climate change through global cooling. Its Toolkit includes a primer and implementation guide for cool roofs and cool pavements as well as a knowledge base of various other resources.
Local Energy Codes
This site provides technical assistance to local jurisdictions considering adopting energy reach codes, including cost-effectiveness research and analysis, model ordinance language and other code development and implementation tools.
Extreme Heat and Community Resilience Program
This program through the Governor's Office of Planning and Research funds and supports local, regional, and tribal efforts to reduce the impacts of extreme heat and urban heat island effect.
U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)
On this site find you will find information about the Building Technologies Program envelope materials research and development projects on cool roofs.
