Published by American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE), this standard provides minimum requirements for the energy-efficient design of residential buildings. Section 5.6 - High Albedo Roofs provides the design guidelines for US climate zones 1, 2, and 3, which cover the southern states of the U.S., including minimum radiative ratings for cool roofs.
